Another Day Another Car Chase

On the news right now there’s yet another car chase happening in Texas. I don’t know why these people run, they ALWAYS get caught. Especially when the helicopter picks them up, you’re basically screwed. In an average week there are generally 2-3 car chases that make it into the national spotlight

Probably the most famous car chase was with OJ Simpson back in the late 90’s, but what do you think the most notorious car chasing towns (aside from Hazzard County, GA)?

Troy’s top picks:
  • Los Angeles (umm, by standing ovation)
  • Houston (hell, anywhere in Texas)
  • Miami

I think deep down, I’m just a good o’boy from the country…come on now sings along with me:

Just two good old boys, never meanin' no harm...Beats all you never saw, been in trouble with the law Since the day they was born. Straightenin' the curves, flattenin' the hills... Someday the mountain might get 'em but the law never will.Makin' their way, the only way they know how... That's just a little bit more than the law will allow. Just two good ol' boys, wouldn't change if they could,Fightin' the system like two modern-day Robin Hoods...

Yeeeehaaaaaaaaa!

c-ya Pluto

The International Astronomical Union has just voted on the official definition of planet, ejecting Pluto from the pantheon of the planets and leaving only the "classical" eight.

For years Pluto was considered a planet, but now the name is nothing more than the description of a Disney character.

Blind Justice

After this whole Jon Benet murder mystery resurfaced, I’ve had a hard time believing that John Karr actually committed the murder. I think he’s a man that became so enthralled by the case and Jon Benet that he started to believe he did it. Until the DNA comes back there are major holes in his story. Like where he actually was the night of the murder, the fact that he told police that he picked her up from school (it was Christmas), the family didn’t know him, and that he would only give certain details of the case.

Personally I think that Jon Benet was the victim of a very secrete child pornography ring that Karr and the Ramsey’s where a part of. I also believe that Karr isn’t the killer, but may help officials find the culprit.

There seems to be a lot of stories in the news lately that just don’t jive with me. I can see the twists and turns in the Benet, and the Ken Lay story also seems to be really fishy.

Don’t you think it’s a little odd that Ken Lay was facing the rest of his life in prison, and just happen to have a heart attack only a few weeks before his sentencing? I also find it strange that the family announced his death while he was on vacation and that his body was immediately cremated. With hundreds of millions of stolen money, don’t you think it would be extremely easy to change your identity, pay a few people off, and slip into obscurity for the remainder of your life? Who would question it? Would you keep quiet if you were offered $100-$500k?

Osma bin Ladin & 9/11 is yet another case that we’ll never know the truth. The lack of indictment is simply inexcusable and unacceptable, yet the media continues to allow the neo con to shrill without holding it accountable for its peculiar detachment from the founder and leader of Al-Qaeda. After all, the evidence threshold for gaining a federal indictment is much lower than for gaining a conviction. Yet for reasons that remain obscure from the public record, the U.S. government, under full neo con control, has not gained such an indictment of Osama bin Laden. For rightful doubters of what the U.S. government and the mainstream media have been and continue to report about the bazaar War on Terror, this lack of indictment only fuels suspicion of the U.S. government. It is obvious that by its lack of response to what should be a fairly easy question to answer, the DOJ Public Affairs Office is withholding information that clearly should be in the public domain – particularly since so much of the neo con agenda hinges on Americans believing the entire 9/11, Osama bin Laden, Al-Qaeda story.

Don’t you think that it’s just a little odd that according to the FBI, Osama bin Laden is wanted by the U.S. government in connection with the August 7, 1998 bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. So why, as of June 14, 2006, is Osama bin Laden not wanted by the U.S. government in connection with the events of September 11, 2001?

Queer enough?

From the producers that didn’t bring you American Pie or Scary Movie 1 thru 4 comes a movie that’s so gay it just might be the gayest movie ever! With a script that pretty much rips off of American Pie nearly scene by scene and shows no original thought, it makes you wonder what the movie has to offer…

The movie is about four guys who recently graduated from high school and are determined to loose their virginity by Labor Day. Besides from being slightly unrealistic, seriously is it that hard for a horny cute teenager to get some ass (umm, no!), the movie does highlight a shift in Hollywood and maybe even America.

When gay characters were first introduced in cinema they were most often depicted as villains or depressed. Another Gay Movie is sign that films are slowly losing the stigma that gay characters have to be constantly suffering from an identity crisis or worrying about coming out. The movie brings the same concentration and lack of shame when talking about sex that other hetero teen movies.

Whether you’re a top, bottom, or bottom-curious you’re sure to get a kick out of this flick currently playing in select theaters. Go with an open mind, and don’t expect too much from Another Gay Movie: http://www.anothergaymovie.com/

Trans-Atlantic 911

Across the news channels security was the buzzing topic as authorities announced today of a major terrorist attacked that was disrupted by an international anti-terror task force. Questions still remain who was really behind the plot, but the general thought is that Al Qaeda will declare credit.

The plot was described as major terrorist activity that would have claimed the lives of hundreds of people. Although the plot was derailed, for the most part, it’s apparent that the attackers have managed to ground hundreds of flights and get the attention of the world. Now as the world airports clamp down on security, it reminds us that it’s not a question of ‘if’ there will be another 911 rather ‘when’.
