Sounding Off...

A hate crime hitting close to home...the other day my friend went to Sound Bar, a popular STRAIGHT nightclub downtown, and this is what happened:

"So my friend and I visiting from NY decided to go out downtown last night. He wore sandles and the dorman wouldnt let him in so he went to get his manager to see if maybe it would be alright..The manager of SOUNDBAR told us that fags need to go to Lakeview we dont allow fags in our bar..we countinued to yell back and forth and finally got a cab..well the doorman ripped my friend out of the cab and choked him while the manager of the club pulled me out behind the cab, ripped my shirt and necklace totally off me in the streets. We were in shock so we got a cab home called the police with my roommate and went back to the scene to report it. As we show up the cops are already there and the manager reported me that i spit on him. In the end I was arrested..for something he said i did..which i didnt do. This was a hate crime against me and im embarrassed that I would be thrown in jail for 10 hours for being beaten up and called a fag by the manager of a club in downtown Chicago. This is not the end of this and our courtdate is for next month."

WTF?! From what I understand he's working with Lambda Legal to help resolve the situation. Sound Bar use to be friendly to all kinds, but I guess they're taking the big boobs and jock dude approach....umm, if you're trying to be cool Sound Bar, you just hit a soar note.

well done?

i was in line at McDonald's and this woman orders a cheeseburger "well done". isn't that sort of like the people that stand there pondering what they're going to get...have you people not see the menu before? As for the well done part...I thought all McDonald's burgers were made the same....cardboard soaked in animal fat, deep fried, dressed with ketchup and mustard and then served. duh!
